Punkbuster Problem
GLOBAL Punkbuster GUID BAN
If you receive the message "GLOBAL Punkbuster GUID BAN", you or somebody who is/was using your key got banned at a Punkbuster protected server. This is a global ban at all Punkbuster protected servers and we cannot remove this ban locally.
Loosing Key Packets 9005
To solve this problem apply the following steps:
1. Close your Call of Duty 4
2. Go to you COD4 directory and delete the pb folder
3. Go to the following site and download the Punkbuster Installer/Updater and execute it. Link
4. In Punkbuster Updater click on Add a Game and enter the path to your COD4 directory
5. Click on COD4 in the list and press Check for Updates
6. Don't forget to add the file PnkBstrA.exe to your firewall including access to the internet
Punkbuster should work now
Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe
PB INIT FAILURE
This message appears if the game or Punkbuster are not properly installed. To solve this problem follow these steps:
1. Close your Call of Duty 4
2. Go to the following site and download the Punkbuster Installer/Updater and execute it. Link
3. In Punkbuster Updater click on Add a Game and enter the path to your COD4 directory
4. Click on COD4 in the list and press Check for Updates
5. Don't forget to add the file PnkBstrA.exe to your firewall including access to the internet
Corrupted File/Memory
By receiving this message, make sure your XFire and Fraps are up to date. Otherwise you are using a cracked version of the iw3mp.exe. To get the original iw3mp.exe send me a PM.
Unknown Windows API Function 131125
To get rid of this problem, you sometimes have to uninstall the program BitDefender.
If this isn't working, make sure you that the overlays of Xfire, TS, Steam etc. are not activated and COD4 is running in fullscreen mode. If the problem still occurs, reinstall your whole COD4.
Disallowed Program/Driver
If this message popping up, make sure your installed software is up to date. Often Fraps or Xfire cause this problem.
RESTRICTION Service Communication Failure
PnkBstrB.exe heartbeat stopped
No packet Flow
Punkbuster isn't able to communicate with the internet. Make sure your PnkBstrA.exe is added to your computer firewall and maybe also to your router.
PunkBuster problems with Windows 8
Go to this location on your computer
(C:\Users\Barnsy\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\COD4\pb)
Find your PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB applications and make them compatible for windows7 service pack 3 and run them as administrator.
If this didn't work download the latest version of PB which is compatible with Windows 8 and update the latest files for CoD4.
In theory this should work.. Good Luck!
